Welcome to our Spring newsletter!! As the cooler weather moves on we feel ourselves opening up to Spring and all her endless possibilities. There is just something about this magical season. It’s the season of hope and fresh beginnings.

We have worked steadily throughout the winter months as usual. A big thank you to you, our clients that make what we do possible.

It features Peytrah and the incredible body work she performs here at Kansha. How fortunate we are to have such skilled practitioners, each bringing their own specialities and skills to Kansha.

Earthing. You may have heard of it or maybe not. It’s a fast growing movement based upon the discovery that connecting to the Earth’s natural energy is foundational for vibrant heath. Whilst not a new revelation, it has of recent times begun to gain serious momentum. Spring is the perfect time to try it out. Warmer days lend themselves to barefoot moments in the park, the beach or simply your own garden!

Few people know it, but the Earth actually provides a subtle electrical signal that helps maintain our health and governs intricate mechanisms that power our bodies. Some go as far as to say that our disconnect with the Earth has contributed to inflammation, pain, stress, fatigue and poor sleep. Thousands upon thousands will testify to positive changes within their body through the simple action of Earthing.

All you need to do is get barefooted and walk on the earth. It’s as simple as that. All of us can benefit from reconnecting. Get onto the grass, dirt or sand. Get into the ocean. Slow down and take the time to enjoy this magnificent place we get to call home.

Eating for Spring!
As the weather warms it’s time to look for cooler foods. Eating cooler foods helps to counteract any excess heat you may be storing. Basing your diet on the rotating seasons is believed to help keep your body in balance.

If you stop and listen to your body it will invariably and instinctively guide you towards the best foods to eat for any particular time of year. Always look for local, fresh and in season foods wherever possible.

Just as we spring clean our homes at this time of year it is also a great time to do a spring clean on our digestive systems. Moving away from the heavier, warming foods of winter which are usually protein and fat based, we want to eat lighter and cleaner. Aim for a vegetable based diet that is lower in fat and starch. Antioxidants naturally occurring in your fresh produce will assist your liver as it moves out the old.

It’s worth remembering that when we spring clean our digestive systems we generally see a marked increase in energy. Our concentration and mood are improved, not to mention a clearer complexion and sparkling eyes. There are just so many benefits.
