June 2019 Newsletter

Welcome to our winter newsletter! It’s been a hive of activity as usual here at Kansha. We have loved welcoming so many of you in to our warm and cosy rooms to do what we do best.

In Noosa we are lucky to escape the more extreme winter temperatures of our neighbours down south, hence the influx of visitors at this time of year. Noosa is a wonderful place to be over the winter months and we are so grateful to our local and visiting patients that return to us year in and year out.

As winter rolls on, make sure to keep warm and keep an eye out for warming foods. Seasonal produce is always ideal. We are more than spoiled for choice so take advantage of the abundant food choices available to us. Happy winter everyone!!

We are very excited to let you all know that we have a new practitioner amongst our family. Deborah Callan has joined us and is practising Jin Shin Jyutsu and Bowen Therapy. She is a highly specialised practitioner and the only person practicing Jin Shin Jyutsu on the coast. How lucky are we!!

Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient Japanese healing technique. The art of Jin Shin Jyutsu is to harmonise the life energy within the body. It helps to release tension within our body, which contributes to various symptoms. Our bodies contain energy pathways that feed life into all of the cells within our body. When one or more of these pathways become blocked, this effect may lead to discomfort or even pain. Stagnation will not only disrupt the local area around that pathway but can eventually disharmonise the path or paths of the energy flow. Unblocking these pathways is key to a healthier life. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a very gentle therapy and suitable for people any age.

We go on about lemons a lot here. These power houses are packed full of everything you could ever need to help stay healthy through out winter. They are packed full of Vitamin C and soluble fibre (beneficial for gut health and slows the digestion of starch and sugars), not to mention fabulous for your heart health. Due to their high Vitamin C and citric acid content, they can even assist you to absorb as much iron as possible from your diet which helps protect against anaemia. Adding lemons to your food and drinks is such an easy way to improve your health and wellbeing. Warm water with lemon is perfect over the cooler months and we love to add a cheeky teaspoon of raw honey for added immune benefits!

Longevity Vouchers are still here and available to our clients who are 60 years and older. They are continuing to be hugely popular and a wonderful way to encourage ongoing care. They are purchased upfront and can be redeemed over 3 visits with the therapist and modality of your choice. Eligible clients are able to purchase one voucher every 12 months. You can purchase either for yourself or for an eligible loved one. Feel free to drop past or call with any questions. We are so happy to assist in any way we can.
